To the person who has the responsibility to consider my file and my manuscript letter


Bonjour,

i undersigned gregoire ausgraben makes the formal request today that EXIT accepts to medically assist me towards my death and during my dying, as soon as i decide it is time to depart.  

i am a member of your organization since october 16, 2023 and i declare that i am fully lucid and determined behind this request.

the physical and psychological suffering i carry is incurable. i have managed it for a long time and, more or less courageously, while considering and peacefully delaying the moment i would send you my request for assistance. i have been thinking of this request since the beginning of the 2020s.

i am now at a point where my strength is running out. every gesture i make costs me more than it brings me back. my pain is mostly intolerable. my dignity is cut in pieces and my quality of life has spiraled socially, physically and emotionally to an unacceptable level. in this situation of naked survival, it has become imperative that i know for sure that i have the option to call you and ask that you accompany me towards my own death. i suffocate in the fear of being forced towards more suffering and even less dignity. 

i have come to incarnate the absolute need to offer myself the peace that will come with knowing that my own departure button is ready. not far. near me. i need it and this is why i am writing to you. please accept my request.

my decision has been very carefully considered, and i declare that the individuals who will be present during my assisted suicide are in no way involved in my decision to take my own life.

towards the authorities, i release of their medical confidentiality obligation, including after my death, all doctors and assistants who will have been involved in assisting my suicide.
